Daniel P. Vorgity

Daniel P. Vorgity passed away on March 17, 2026.

Beloved husband of the late Kathleen. Loving father of Daniel (Brandy) and Matthew (Jessica). Cherished Pop-Pop of Leah, Ryan, Gianna, and Sierra. Dear brother of Theresa McMahnon (John), Gary (Jayne), Joseph (Barry Finkle), and Tina Mackiewicz (Rob Briccotto). Dan is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dan dedicated over 45 years of his life to teaching at Archbishop Ryan High School in Northeast Philadelphia, where he taught math and accounting. He took great pride in his work and the impact he had on generations of students.

In his spare time, Dan enjoyed shooting and fishing, and you could always find him watching or listening to the Phillies. He also loved spending time in Cape May, New Jersey—though he never quite cared for all the sand!

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114), followed by his Funeral Service. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
