Daniel Leroy Wargo, aged 65, of St. Charles, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025.
Daniel was born on March 1, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan, to his loving parents, Dale and Leola Wargo. Daniel was a bright student and graduated from St. Charles High School, where he formed lasting friendships and developed a love for learning. Following high school, Daniel sought to further his education and moved to Amherst, New Hampshire, where he attended a Bible college.
After completing several years of study, Daniel entered the workforce as a laborer in a granite quarry in New Hampshire, where he spent a decade developing his strong work ethic. In 1995, Daniel returned to his roots in Michigan and began a new chapter in his career as a dedicated custodian at Walmart. For twenty years, he became a familiar face to both employees and customers, known for his kindness, gentle demeanor, and the smile that was always on his face.
An avid outdoorsman, Daniel found joy and comfort in nature. He loved hunting, particularly for deer, pheasants, and rabbits. Additionally, he was passionate about fishing, embracing the thrill of deep-sea fishing during his years on the East Coast. His love for discovery extended beyond fishing and hunting, as he also spent time metal detecting. He took pride in uncovering unique artifacts, including items dating back to the Civil War, each with its own story and significance. Daniel was also a martial arts enthusiast, having achieved a brown belt in karate.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Dale L. Wargo, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Leola G. Wargo; beloved sister, Darlene (David) Lear; cherished nieces, Ashley (Derek) Milbrandt and Amanda (John) Keys; and proud great-niece, Addison Keys, as well as great-nephews, Milton Milbrandt and Weston Keys.
A funeral service in honor of Daniel's life will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes – Jennings-Lyons Chapel, located at 520 W. Main St., Owosso, MI. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.

Daniel's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.
