Daniel Weitz Jr. of Oshkosh WI was called home Wednesday May 8, 2024. He married the love of his life
Jodi Dalphonso on Sept. 8th, 2012 in Ironwood MI. He spent all his days following her, and their 2 dogs
Groot and Frankie. He was a loving husband and good provider for his family. Dan was a good friend and
neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand. He had many skills to offer from home repair to lawn
and garden care, and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his friends, loved ones and neighbors. He
shared this quality with his sons. He was a loving father who taught his sons mechanical and household
skills and shared with them the love of volleyball. He was a lover of classic cars and motorcycles and had
a real zest for life and a wacky sense of humor to match. One of his favorite past times was spending his
time with Jodi and their dogs, Groot and Frankie in Hurley WI. Dan loved nature and being outdoors. He
will be missed by all.
He is preceded in heaven by his mother Rose Marie and father Daniel Weitz Sr. He is survived by, loving
wife, Jodi; Siblings: Darlene, Joan (Skip), Brad (Mary); Sons: Daniel 3rd (Tammy), David (Robyn); Mother
in-law, Mary Jo; Brother-in-law, Todd (Brenda); good friends: Aunt Chris, Christian, and Shawn (Karen).
Grandchildren: Amber, Cassie (Micah), Danielle, Cameron and David; Nieces and Nephews: Lisa, Rachel
and Scott; Andrew; Erica and Kevin (Sara). No services will be held at this time.

I´m so glad that I got to know Dan we shared many conversations about motorcycles , our kids, politics and work. He made me laugh. and I admired and enjoyed hearing about his love and support and respect for his family especially his wife Jodi. We had a great deal in common. I think the one thing that he shared, that I´ll probably never forget was the time he saved the turtles.

Dan, his brother Brad and I shared many fun times and laughs playing volleyball in Oshkosh. Dan had a great sense of humor and a ready smile. Condolences to Jodi, Brad and the rest of his family!

I went to school with Dan and considered him a good friend even though through the years we lost track of each other. May he rest in peace.
