Daniel had a heart as big as his smile. He loved being outdoors, whether he was out hunting or tending to his yard - both things that brought him peace and joy. He took great pride in his work as a granite countertop installer and approached every job with dedication and craftsmanship.
Above all, Daniel deeply loved his family. He cared for his daddy, Steve Smith, with unwavering devotion for many years, showing the true measure of his gentle and giving spirit. Known as a gentle giant, Daniel had a soft spot for animals and children, who were naturally drawn to his kind and patient nature. His love and care touched everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Degroote Weyand and his father Dan Weyand.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Emily; father, Steve Smith; brother, John Weyand; sister, Jennifer Weyand; stepbrother, Ryan Smith. He will also be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
