Daniel N. Wilke

Passed away at his home on February 2, 2026 age 74 years. Daniel was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 9, 1951 to Neal and Marion Wilke.

Dan grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin and was a lover of cars at an early age. He became a race car driver and raced at Road America and many other tracks across the United States for over 40 years. He owned Yard Racing, a business that built vintage sports cars.

Dan was also an RN, working in a variety of settings, most notably for 50 years at the Medical Center at Road America Race Track.

He loved reading, enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid fan of Formula 1 racing. Dan loved old movies and enjoyed people, making friends easily and sharing laughter. Dan was a kind, caring, compassionate, loving man. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved life. He was deeply loved by his partner, family and friends. He was always ready for a good time. He was a manly man.

He is survived by his Best friend and life partner Debra Unger for 34 years; two sisters-Nancy Wilke and Julianne Wilke.. He is preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Marion Wilke.
