Daniel Harold Williford, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, entered his heavenly home on September 25, 2025, in Lincolnton, GA, at the age of 93. Born on June 27, 1932, in Union County, SC, Dan dedicated his life to serving his country and community.

Dan's remarkable Army career spanned 23 years, from 1950 to 1973, during which he served as an Infantryman. He proudly served in Vietnam, participating in two combat campaigns and earning a Bronze Star for Meritorious Service and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. His service was a source of immense pride for him, and he cherished the bonds he formed with his fellow Soldiers.

After retiring from the Army, Dan continued to serve his community. He worked as a manager for J.A. Stafford and later he managed the Army's Pointes West MWR camp grounds, where he touched the lives of countless individuals.

Dan's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Clara Williford; daughter Donna Smith and husband, Ross; his granddaughter Cassy Britton and husband, Derek, his stepchildren Tim Teasley and wife, Sonya and Todd Teasley and
wife, Lisa; his step-grandchildren Faith Teasley, Matthew Teasley and wife, Rose, Ava Jane Belk and husband, Tyler, Lizzie Teasley, and Russell Rodgers and wife, Madison and step-great grandson Noah Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Etta Mae Williford, his first-wife Mary Sue Williford, and his stepdaughter Susan Rodgers.

Those who knew Dan remember his infectious smile, his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and his unwavering kindness. He had a rare gift for making others feel welcome and valued, leaving an indelible mark of warmth on the lives of all who crossed his path.

Services for Daniel H. Williford will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Gerald B. Bohler officiating. Interment services will be at Bellevue Memorial Gardens in Grovetown, GA with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday in the church sanctuary.

Ross Smith, Derek Britton, Matthew Teasley, Russell Rodgers, Jim Reese and Eddie Myers will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dan's devoted and kind caregivers Twila Jones, Carol Norman, Sarah Rouse, Terri Banks Riser, and Allay Hospice who ensured his comfort during his heavenly transition.
