Daniel Worth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lawry Brothers Funeral Home - Fairfield on Aug. 12, 2024.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Daniel David Worth announces the untimely departure of our beloved Daniel. He passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at his Clinton home with his wife Katherine by his side.
The youngest child of David & Tammy Worth, Daniel was born just 35 short years ago. In Daniel's humorous manner, he often announced he was "Mama's baby."
Daniel was a 2008 Lawrence High School graduate. He spent his high school years employed at Flood Brothers Farm in Clinton. Later he was employed at PFG in Augusta as well Campbell's Hardware in Winslow.
Anybody who was lucky enough to know Daniel knew he was deeply passionate about hunting and fishing. He spent much of his life doing just that with his wife, daughter, father, brother and father-in-law as some of his best hunting partners.
In 2022, Daniel had the chance of a lifetime and got a moose permit. Daniel poured his heart and soul into that moose hunt. He was lucky enough to have family from as far away as Oregon join him. Daniel ended that hunt with a bull moose and memories for all to cherish. In 2023, his wife received a moose permit. Doing what they loved together, Daniel and Kati enjoyed another moose hunt that also ended with getting a bull moose. (We will not mention whose was bigger -sorry Dan!)
Daniel's other passion was most definitely his family. Daniel was truly happiest when he was surrounded by his family. His wife and daughter were his world. Emma was truly the apple of his eye. The three of them lived life to the fullest doing the things they loved together as a family.
There are so many words to use to describe Daniel: kind, caring, generous, adventurous, witty, humorous, and stubborn. (Again, sorry Daniel!)
Daniel was one of the most selfless people on the planet, and anyone would say he would do just about anything for anyone. If you needed someone to make you laugh until your face hurt, he was your guy. If you were mad, sad, or feeling out of sorts, Daniel would have you laughing in no time.
Daniel was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Darlene Weston of Oregon; maternal grandparents Glen & Joyce Meader of Fairfield; and Uncle Michael Meader also of Fairfield.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife and best friend Katherine Worth and their daughter, the apple of his eye and absolute mini me, Emma Joyce Worth of Clinton; his loving parents who he treasured dearly, David and Tammy Worth of Clinton; his loving sister (who he insisted on calling Bambi to make her laugh) Brandy Worth and Josh Cummings of Skowhegan; his big brother who he looked up to and admired in so many ways Kevin Worth and wife Amanda of Palermo; his special mother and father-in-law, Henry and Leslie Royer of Clinton; his special brother-in- law and sister-in- law Richard and Felicia Royer of Clinton; nieces and nephews who Daniel loved so dearly and will forever miss their Uncle Dan, Isabella, Brody, Tanner, Alyssa, Rylee, Hannah, Ryleigh, Shane, and Adrien; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who he cherished; and last but not least, two truest to the meaning of the word friend, been there through it all, lifelong friends of Daniel, Jeremy Holt & Jake Dangler both of Clinton.
Anyone who had the pleasure, and boy was it a pleasure, of knowing Daniel is invited to join the family in remembering and celebrating such a truly wonderful soul on Tuesday, August 20th, from 6-8 pm at the Veilleux-Redington-Lawry Brothers, 8 Elm Street in Waterville.
