Daniel Zarske Obituary

Published by Harder Funeral Home - Brookfield on Nov. 24, 2017.
Daniel Thomas Zarske “Dan” Age 58, passed away on November 24, 2017 at his home with his beloved family at his side after a very strong battle against cancer. Dan is survived by his wife Veda, his daughter Samantha, and his sons Kenny and Kevin. He is further survived by his father, John ‘Don’ Zarske (the most supportive and smartest man he knew) (Janet Haas). Dan is preceded in death by his mother Janet Zarske (Farley). He is also survived by his sisters, Lynn Overholt (deceased Russell T Overholt), Kathy (Gary) Marx, and Carri Zarske, and brothers, Jim Zarske and Dean (Rose) Zarske. He treasured his best friends Eric and Wendy Harder, Harry (Cindy) Boebel, Tom (Rhonda) Nequette, Mark (Chrissy) Peters, Bill (Meggan) Miller and the countless others that were close to him. Dan mentioned them frequently in his final days, wanting to say thank you for being great people and there for all of the good times he cherished. Dan worked at Quad Graphics for 33 years starting in an entry-level position and ending as the Distribution Manager in West Allis, WI. He truly enjoyed his colleagues, and they always kept him on top of his joke game. A diehard sports fan, Dan loved the Green Bay Packers. On game day Dan could be found at Lambeau (thank you Eric, Wendy & Harry) or behind the T.V. ‘loudly encouraging’ the players to play better and try harder (earn your money!). He loved music and went to more concerts in his life-time than anyone could count. Every chance he could, Dan was at the family cottage in Eagle River, WI. He could be found coming up with projects or cruising around on the pontoon with his family on board and a cooler of cold ones close by. A special thank you to all Dan’s Oncology & Radiation nurses and Seasons Hospice, who cared for him like family alongside his own. He wanted to thank Char for crashing into every room, being a part of our family and his most trusted medical advisor. It is with their dedicated help that allowed him to be at home, as comfortable as possible, until the end. Words cannot express how humbled and grateful the family is with the outpour of support from all family, friends, co-workers and loved ones during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.
