Danielle Jo Sewell Roper, 45, of Richmond, Utah, passed away on September 5th, 2025 following a long battle with health complications. Danielle was born on July 22nd, 1980 to Becky Sewell in Billings, Montana. She moved to Great Falls, Montana when she was 3 weeks old and lived there until she was 6 years old. At 6, she moved with her mom and sister back to Billings, Montana for 2 years. Danielle spent the rest of her childhood in Great Falls. Danielle graduated from Great Falls High School in 1999. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in May of 2001 and Danielle married Jared Roper on October 13th, 2001 in Great Falls. After their marriage they moved to Cache Valley, Utah. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Logan LDS temple on May 31st, 2002. Danielle enjoyed her time working at various jobs. At Chrysalis, she worked with special needs adults and she loved them and took them on adventures any time she could. She was a reading aid with Cache County School District and treasured the time she spent helping children read. Danielle was a talented nail tech and made many friends in her years doing nails.

Danielle was a lifetime girl scout and enjoyed serving in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Danielle participated in Relay for Life for 10 years and found joy serving on the committee. She loved her nieces and nephews with such a fierce love. She was always talking about them, supporting them and she was so proud of them. Danielle loved all things Disney. Her room at the care center she most recently lived at was decorated with stuffed Mickey and Minnie and many other Disney items. Danielle loved Jared deeply. She also loved her Boppa, Granny, Muncle Mark and her Uncle Joe very much.

Danielle is survived by her husband, Jared, parents Becky and Dan Scally, sisters LaVonne Thompson (Jeff), Katherine Oord, Lyda Shepherd (Kurt), mother in law Cindy Roper, brother in law Corey Roper (Heidi), sister in law Hilary Wood (Landon), sister in law Kelsea Gunnell (Tanner), many nieces and nephews and multiple friends who considered her family. She is preceded in death by her niece Maliya, Gramps, Gram, Boppa, Granny, Uncle Mark, Uncle Joe and father-in-law Garry Roper.

The family will host a viewing on Thursday, Sept 11th from 6-8 p.m. at Allen-Hall mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, Utah. A brief viewing will be held Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the LDS church located at 135 W Main St, Richmond, UT. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in the Hyde Park cemetery in Hyde Park, Utah.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Rocky Mountain Care Center for their tireless watch and care of Danielle, especially those who took the time to connect with her and treated her like family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Allen-Hall mortuary to help cover funeral expenses.
