Jacksonville - Danielle "Dani" Lawless, 37, of Jacksonville, died Friday, November 7, 2025, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. She was born April 8, 1988, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Bernie and Brenda Berghaus Lawless.
Dani is survived by her parents, siblings Amy (Blaine) Dehart of Clay City and Megan (Cody) Woods of Winchester, nephew Cash Dehart, nieces Charlotte and Lainey Woods, paternal grandparents Joe and Chris Lawless of Jacksonville, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dani was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Harold and Shirley Berghaus and younger sister Jill Lawless.
Dani dearly loved her family, from spending time with cousins to spoiling her nieces and nephew. Dani was a graduate of Routt Catholic High School, in 2006, and Culver Stockton College in 2010. She grew up showing cattle at the Scott County Fair, which she still supported through the years. She enjoyed her years of coaching volleyball and bowling on Tuesday and Thursday nights. She could always be found helping anyone needing help with benefits or organized events. She was an avid college sports fan and enjoyed refereeing Mother's volleyball. Dani was employed at Vicki Lynn and Associates and Twyford's BBQ & Catering.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Church of Our Saviour in Jacksonville, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A prayer service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at Williamson Funeral Home, where the family will meet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Scott County Junior Fair or Routt Catholic High School.
