Danielle Loretta Margaret Nelson, 39, of Nora Springs, Iowa, unexpectedly passed Saturday, June 28, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Born on April 11, 1986, to Todd McMurray and Shelia Kindschuh, Danielle grew up in Mason City and attended the local community school. After graduating, she began her career at Crescent Park and most recently worked as a finish sprayer at Wood Harbor. On September 19, 2015, she married Kevin Nelson, and together they built a life in Nora Springs.
She had a love for the outdoors and found joy in life's simple pleasures. Camping trips, evenings by the campfire, and spontaneous road adventures were among her favorites. Her adventurous spirit was matched by her devotion to family. She cherished date nights with Kevin and treasured time with her children, whether golfing, enjoying lake days, or simply spending time in nature.
Danielle's presence was a gift to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light, encouraging us all to cherish our loved ones and embrace the beauty of the world around us.
Those left to remember Danielle are her husband, Kevin Nelson of Nora Springs; children, Kamryn Nelson of Plymouth, Kolyn (Piper Gangsei) Nelson of Mason City, Madison McMurray and Peyton Nelson of Nora Springs; father, Todd (Kim) McMurray of Mason City; mother, Shelia (Doug) Martin of Osage; siblings, Halie (Weston) Jensen, Amanda (Taylor) Fields, and Emma McMurray; Kevin's parents, Lynn and Korrine Nelson; siblings in-law, Karl Nelson, Kaleb (Ashley) Nelson; close friends, Gina McFarland, Tim and Holly Kruse, Violet Stayner and Evan Jones; her beloved cats; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
