Danielle Paige Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mitchell Funeral Home - Easthampton on Feb. 5, 2026.
Danielle "Dani" Paige, beloved daughter of Michael G. Paige and Phyllis A. Paige, passed peacefully on February 3rd at home, surrounded by family, after a courageous and brave battle with cancer.

Dani's radiant smile, luminous spirit, and boundless love will be profoundly missed by her sister Michele "Shelley" Coffey (Paige), her cherished niece Andrea Coffey, and her brother Garrett M. Paige, all of Westfield, as well as by her stepmother, Linnea Paré; her half-sisters Tatum Wrobel (Paige) and April Carofano (Paige); and their significant others, Keith Coyne and Fred Carofano. Dani was deeply loved by her nieces Mattilyn and Makenna Wrobel and her nephews Lincoln, Quinton, and Miles Carofano, who will miss her dearly and forever cherish the joyful memories they shared with her at her beloved lake.

Dani was predeceased by her father, Michael Paige of Holyoke, and her mother, Phyllis Paige (O'Connor) of Westfield.

A licensed mental health clinician and a devoted, grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Dani dedicated her life to healing and service. Through her work, her presence, and her fearless honesty, she helped guide and uplift countless people. Dani was never anonymous about her love for the AA program-she lived its principles openly, courageously, and with deep reverence for spiritual awakening, connection, and truth.

In this past year, Dani walked a sacred and intentional path. She meditated at the Tor and in the holy wells of Glastonbury, Somerset, England alongside her circle of strong women; participated in the Sundance Ceremony in Canada; swam with sea turtles in the healing waters of Vieques, Puerto Rico; shared laughter and lobster in Narragansett, Rhode Island; and took part in traditional sweat lodge ceremonies with people she deeply valued. Each experience reflected her devotion to spirituality, community, and living fully aligned with her soul.

Dani was joyfully immersed in her blossoming home-based therapy practice, lovingly held within her lakeside cottage in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. To enter that space was to feel her essence-every corner infused with intention, warmth, and the unmistakable magic of who she was.

Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Dani's spirit lives on-in the lives she touched, the hearts she healed, and the love she so freely gave.

Dani had recently retired after a long and deeply meaningful career devoted to service and care for others. Since 2008, she served as a Correctional Counselor with the Hampden County Sheriff's Office at the Western Massachusetts Recovery and Wellness Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. In recognition of her dedication and impact, Dani was honored with the Professional Excellence Award in both 2020 and 2023, and in 2022 she received the Bill Toller Compassionate Hero Award.

Dani's commitment to healing extended beyond her profession. She was devoted to healing herself and as many others as she could from the ravages of the family disease of alcoholism and addiction. Her work was personal, purposeful, and guided by deep compassion.

A celebration of Dani's life will be held on February 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Genesis Spiritual Life and Conference Center, 53 Mill Street, Westfield, Massachusetts.

Mitchell's Funeral Home of Easthampton is handling the arrangements of interment.

In accordance with Dani's wishes, she has chosen cremation. We believe she would be honored if those who feel called were to carry a small portion of her remains and scatter them to the four winds, in remembrance of her spirit, her freedom, and her enduring connection to the natural world.

Ouch! Dani, it saddens me to see this. You are the 2nd well-formed soul I've encountered, to transcend this week ....

You will be missed and were cherished I never worked one moment with you at the HCSD, your vitality & infectious laugh wouldn't allow that

I Re-member "Recovery Week" I'd bring in my karaoke and we'd pack Dan Hobart Hall with 60 residents... and you'd kick it off with I'm the Real Slim Shady, and the place would erupt, Chelis' would sing Careless Whispers and the energy, love, and soul food would fill us all up....

I loved your laugh, then your laugh at your laugh....
You enlightened us in life and illuminated the TranscenDance ..... the joy & sorrow unmasked in life....
Keep an eye on us, and keep laughing...

Thanks for infecting my life....

Thoughts and prayers for all of us, thinking of your family

RIP thanks for living as you have...
