Danielle Gay Shewey was the firstborn of Ward Shewey, Jr. and Elaine (Bell) Shewey. She was born September 25, 1962, in WaKeeney, Kansas. Her family lived in Hill City, Kansas, for the first eleven years of her life. They then moved to the farm in rural Graham County, and she attended Morland Elementary School. She graduated from Morland High School in 1980, and then went on to Colby Community College. She attained her degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting and attended an additional year.
After college, Danielle returned to the farm and worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank. She had most recently been working at both the Jamboree Food Store and with Homestead food services where she really loved her work and the people she worked with. Her true passion, however, was the Church and its members. She made the church bulletin every Sunday and was the Church Treasurer for many years.
Danielle recently become an aunt. Her nieces and nephews were the light of her life. She loved them all. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching cooking shows and HGTV.
Danielle was proceeded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her brother Leslie, wife Kristen, and their children Charley, Olivia, Dexter, and Henry; and brother Christian, wife Amanda, and children Walker and Holden.
