Danny M. Albaugh, 81, entered heavenly rest on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Eskenazi Hospital, Indianapolis, after bravely battling injuries from a house fire. He was born in Elkhart to the late Lee Taylor and Edna (Tavenier) Albaugh, and later married Linda “Lynn” Hart, who preceded him in death on April 24, after celebrating 30 years of marriage together.

Surviving are his children, Lee (Tammy James) Albaugh, and Shelly (Mitch) Henderson, 4 grandchildren, Bronson (Christina) Albaugh, Emily (Michael) Tefft, Allison (Stephen) Tefft, and Michael Hoefle, and nine great-grandchildren, Damien Albaugh, and Samson, Izabella, Elijah, Ezra, Judah, Eleanora, Stevie, and Gwen Tefft. Along with his siblings, Margie Fisher and Nancy Cataldo. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by Art and William Albaugh, Millie Miller, Lous Booker, Boyd “Bob” Albaugh, Carol Jean Albaugh, Doug Albaugh, Betty Busbey, and Mary doty.

Danny retired from CTS Corporation and proudly served as the UAW Local 941 President for 10 years. A passionate sports fan, he loved cheering for his favorite football teams, the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame. In the 1960s, he showcased his racing skills by winning the Osceola Dragstrip Nationals. Danny also enjoyed fishing at Fisher Lake, golfing, playing basketball and horseshoes, but above all, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends. He loved Jesus and saving money.

A joint service will be held to honor both Danny and Lynn on Thursday, May 15th from 5-8pm at New Creation Fellowship, Granger, with a service scheduled, Friday, May 16, at 1pm. Entombment at Rice Cemetery will follow the service.
