Danny Wayne Anable

Danny Wayne Anable, known fondly to many as "Dan", passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2025, at the age of 80 at Fabian's House, Adult Family Home, in Mill Creek, WA, after bravely facing vascular dementia. Born in Bellingham on March 14th, 1945, Dan was a lifelong resident devoted to his family and community.
A graduate of Bellingham High School, Dan proudly served his country in the Army, spending time stationed in Korea. Upon returning home, he began a career with Georgia Pacific, working over 40 years in the pulp mill and later as a journeyman electrician.
Dan was a gentle giant-a tall man with a big heart-who brought support, thoughtfulness, and easy humor to situations. Always a stable part of his family and friends. He loved us no matter what.
Danny is survived by his wife, Kay Anable; his daughters, Tracy Anable and Jennifer Anable; his stepchildren, Mary Malloy and David Malloy; his brother, Gregory Anable (and his spouse, Kathy Anable); and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The burial service will take place on August 15th at 2 pm at Moles, Greenacres Memorial Park, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at Amy's Place, a dementia support center located in Bellis Fair Mall, outside the Target wing.
