With heavy hearts but a spirit of celebration, we announce the passing of beloved husband, and friend, Danny J. Bleise, on July 5, 2025, in Dixmoor, Illinois. Born in Houghton, Michigan, Danny lived a life rich in love and laughter, marked by his natural creativity and skills as a welder. Known as a "jack of all trades," he possessed an endless curiosity and a passion for learning that defined his time on this earth.
Danny shared 45 wonderful years filled with adventures and joy with his devoted wife, Kathleene Bleise, nee Darby. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, marked by kindness, love, and his wonderfully dry sense of humor that made every moment together memorable. Danny's laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
He found tranquility in simple pleasures, particularly in watching the hummingbirds dance at the bird feeder, a pastime that highlighted his appreciation for the beauty in life. A proud veteran of the Army, Danny served his country with honor and dedication, embodying the values of service and integrity.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Kathleene; his cherished mother, Mary Bobbitt; his siblings, Joey, Carl (Kathleen) and Mary Jo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Earl. Danny will be remembered not only for his craftsmanship but also for his big heart and generous spirit.

Friends and family will meet at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd., Elwood IL at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 for a Memorial Service and Military Honors at 12:00 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memories and stories about Danny, which can be shared at the upcoming gathering. This moment will honor the joy he brought into our lives and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
