It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Danny Thomas Brown, Sr. age 67. Danny passed away September 9 while at the McLeod Hospice House with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 4:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev Will Liabastre and Rev. Dennis Outlaw will officiate. Burial will be in the Tabernacle Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of his mother, 29915 Highway 151, McBee, S.C.
Danny was born in Hartsville, a son of the late William Thomas Brown and Mildred Oneal Brown. Danny loved fishing, sitting on the porch watching the birds, spending time with family and grandkids. He also enjoyed going to flea markets, thrifting for antiques, making others laugh and cherished family gatherings.
Danny was known for his quick wit, warm smile, laughter and unwavering generosity. He left a strong impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Danny was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was Baptised in April 2024.

Surviving is his wife, Sherry Hunter Brown, Kershaw; two daughters, Becky (Neil) Powell, Kingstree and Dannyelle Brown, Hartsville; one son, Danny (Darlene) Brown, McBee; one sister, Diane (Jerry) Gainey, Bethune; two brothers, Thomas (Dorothy) Brown, Bethune and Jerry (Barbara) Brown, McBee; seven grandchildren, Dakota Powell, Hayden Powell, Logan Brown, Lillian Brown, Collin Brown, Jaydyn McMillian and Jayeeon McMillan; one great grandchild, Rhett Brown.
