Danny Carter, age 62, passed away on September 11, 2025, in Rome, GA. Born on June 29, 1963, in Marietta, GA, to the late Aaron and Birdie Carter.

Danny held his family at the center of his universe, cherishing every moment he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Outside of his devotion to his family, Danny found great joy in the roar of engines and the thrill of speed. His love for racing was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his tenacious spirit. Danny's face would light up whenever he spoke about taking his race car out on the track, and his passion for the sport was evident to all who shared in his excitement. Danny also enjoyed running his tractor. He was kind, loving, hardworking man.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Billy Carter, Modine Dishmond, Polly Carter and Jimmy Carter.

Danny is survived by his wife, Denise Carter; daughters, Tiffany Rogers (Justin), Shannon Howard (Jenn) and Ashley Peardon (Jeff); grandchildren, Riley Rogers, Hailee Gibbs, Colby Rogers, Aaron Peardon, Brynlee Rogers and Chase Rogers; brother, Bobby Carter (Shirley); as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 14th from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, September 15th from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
