Danny K Combs

Danny K. Combs, 63, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Monday, December 22, 2025, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.
He was born March 16, 1962, in LaGrange to Rev. Leburn "Lee" and Lucenia (Moore) Combs.
He previously drove semi-trucks for local grain companies, a job that suited his independent spirit and love of the open road.
In his free time, Danny enjoyed watching classic Westerns and listening to old country music. He was known as a great cook, a wonderful storyteller, and a natural charmer who could make people laugh and feel at ease. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, humor, and the effortless way he connected with others. With a twinkle in his eye, Danny had a gift for telling stories so convincingly that listeners often believed them, whether they were entirely accurate or not.
Surviving are four children, Kyle Linnemeier of Churubusco, Jenelle (Russ Raymer) Combs of Garrett, Devin Combs of Avilla, and Daniel (Debbie Kugler) Combs of Avilla; 11 grandchildren; five siblings, Lilly (John) Powell of Findlay, Ohio, Kenith Combs of Kendallville, Del (Wendy) Combs of Kendallville, Joanna "Becky" Conley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Shronna (Mike) Mast of Rome City; and his dog, Macy Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jessica (Payne) Tipton; twin grandsons, Jevin and Jaymeson Linnemeier; and two brothers, Jerry Combs and Rev. Clarence L. Combs.
Visitation will be Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
Danny's funeral service will be Friday, January 9, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Wade Sturdivant officiating.
Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
