Danny Cyrus Obituary

Danny was born in Crown City, Ohio and grew up in Huntington, West Virginia. He met the love of his life, Alice "Char" (Davis) while at Huntington East High School. The two were married and had twin boys, David and Dana. Danny moved the family to Holland to further his career at BASF, where he worked for over 30 years as a project engineer. He was a member of Central Wesleyan Church, loved to golf, bowl, and coach his sons little league teams. He was a member of the Holland Elks #1315 for over 59 years and was P.D.D.G.E.R, P.E.R. Danny served his lodge, district and the Michigan Elks with class and dignity. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Alice "Char" Cyrus.
Danny is survived by his sons; Dana (Tracy) Cyrus of Holland, David (Patty) Cyrus of Zeeland; grandchildren, Mark Cyrus, Kevin Cyrus, Stephanie Cyrus, Nicole (Matt) Orazem, Tim (Sara) Cyrus; 6 great-grandsons; sister-in-law, Barbara Cyrus, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Danny and Char at the Holland Elks #1315 on August 9 from 5-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Corewell Health Hospice, or the Holland Elks #1315.
