Danny O Flannery, a beacon of laughter and generosity, passed away on July 15, 2024, in Blanding, Utah, at the age of 61. Born on October 10, 1962, in Portland, Oregon, Danny's infectious smile and kind-hearted nature were evident from an early age.
In 1980, Danny married Rona Christiansen in Bountiful, Utah. Together they have five wonderful children: Scoot Flannery (Sara), Cambria Palmer (Ryan), Tiffany Palmer (Devan), Chase Flannery (Tori), and Shalie Richards (Alex). Danny was a devoted father whose humor and generosity were the cornerstones of their early family life.
Danny devoted himself to a life of service and protection. After completing the police academy in 1985, he moved his family to Blanding, Utah, where he dedicated 18 years to the community as Police Officer, he was also a skilled contractor and constructed several homes within the community.
His service reached international borders as he spent several years in Iraq, where he played a vital role in training Police Officers, sharing his expertise and shaping the future of law enforcement abroad.
In 2020, Danny found love again and married Allyn Adams. He became a stepfather to her four children: Tyrell (Libby), Koy (Makenzie), Ally, and Shaw. Together, they shared a bond that brought immense joy and companionship into each other's lives. Allyn and Danny's time together was filled with laughter and the creation of precious memories that will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who knew them.
Those who knew Danny will remember him as a funny, kind, and generous man. His ability to lighten any room with his humor was unmatched, and his kindness touched the lives of many. His generosity knew no bounds, and he gave selflessly to both his loved ones and strangers alike.
Danny's legacy is one of love, laughter, and service. He lived a life that exemplified the best of kindness. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him.
As we bid farewell to Danny O'Flannery, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with purpose, joy, and an abundance of love. While we mourn his passing, we also take solace in the warmth of the memories he leaves behind, memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
Danny's was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife Allyn, 5 children, 4 stepchildren, and 22 grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart.
Rest in peace, Danny. Your laughter will echo in our hearts, and your kindness will continue to light the way for those you've left behind.

Doug and I were passing through Blanding many years ago and stopped by to see Danny and his darling family. We will always remember his hospitality and beautiful smile. "When Irish eyes are smiling , it will steal your heart away."
When Jerry Flannery passed away , (My Father)Danny was one of the first family members to stop by to pay his respects. His kindness and sincere condolences were welcome and appreciated. Until we all meet again, never to go out again. We love you and pray for you. Kathleen Flannery Hurst
