Russell Daniel Fritz, Jr., better known as Danny Fritz, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, October 16, 2023.
Danny, a larger than life character, enjoyed having fun and bringing laughter to all. His employment was with fairs and carnivals as entertainer and showman. Danny loved motorcycles and more than anything else, he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Rhoda H. Fritz; two sons, Anthony Shane Conwell (wife Destinie) of Florida, and Andrew Casey Conwell of Ohio; his siblings, Richard Fritz of Mount Olive, Debby F. Cansler of Goldsboro, William "Billy" Fritz of Goldsboro, Ronda B. Thompson (husband Michael) of Mount Olive, and Belinda B. Parent (husband Jose) of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Austin Agee, Alexis Agee, Heavenly Agee, Madeline Conwell, Anthony Conwell II, Jaden Conwell, Jaslyn Conwell, Julissia Conwell, Hannah Conwell, Benjamin Conwell, and Isaiah Conwell; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and their families. Also surviving is Kevin Taylor, a former brother-in-law, but to Danny, he remained a special brother.
Danny was preceded in death by his daughter, Shauna Angel Agee; his parents, James Browe and Joyce Garner Browe; and a special brother-in-law, Patrrick Cansler.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 23, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive at Noon. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Dail. The family will greet friends at the church during the hour before the service. At other times, family and friends are welcome to call at the Michael and Ronda Thompson residence. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any considerations be given to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
