With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danny Harris, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on December 17, 2025. Born on March 7, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Danny exemplified the warmth and love of family, leaving a profound impact on all who had the privilege to know him.
Danny was a dedicated family man and the cherished rock of his family. He is remembered fondly by his surviving daughters, Teri Maxwell and Charitee Harris, his beloved grandson, Topher Moore, and siblings Margaret, Debbie and Terry. Danny was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 61 years, Chestine Harris, his parents, Jesse and Susie Harris, and his sisters Rosa and Lillian.
Throughout his life, Danny's welcoming nature and mentorship touched many young lives. His passion for classic cars and involvement in a car club with high school friends showcased his deep appreciation for community and giving back. Through countless car shows he organized, he selflessly donated proceeds to charitable causes, sharing not only his love for automobiles but also his kindness and generosity.
Danny spent his career years assembling, and testing Jet Engines at GE Aerospace. Danny was known for his impressive skills and remarkable ability to fix anything that came his way. He embraced his role as the family's "Mr. Fix-It" with a wicked sense of humor, always ready with a laugh or a clever quip to brighten anyone's day.
A funeral service will be held on December 27, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen, Ohio.
