Danny D. Hatfield, 76, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the Willows of Shelbyville.
Born November 3, 1949 in Jabez, Kentucky, he was the son of Henry Clay Hatfield and Retta (Johnson) Hatfield. He married Donnietta (Stephens) Hatfield on April 6, 1996, and she survives.
Other survivors include daughters- Nicole Hatfield of New Castle, and Emily Moore of Shelbyville; a son Charles "Bub" Phillips (Chelsea) of Shelbyville; 6 siblings- Freeman Hatfield of Avon, Betty Decker (Melburn) of Jabez, Nellie Cole of Lancaster, Kentucky, Jerry Hatfield (Katie) of Jabez, Verna Hatfield (Barbara) of Jabez, and Francis Hatfield (Pam) of Russell Springs, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers- Arnold & Jimmy Hatfield.
Mr. Hatfield had lived in this area since 1967, after moving from Kentucky. He graduated from Nancy High School in Kentucky, and had worked for many years for Admiral Corp., General Electric Wire Mill, Detroit Steel, and retired from Knauf Fiber Glass.
Danny enjoyed camping, watching old westerns, basketball, and boxing on TV. He loved hanging out in his garage with his buddies.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
