Danny Horn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home on Mar. 30, 2026.
Danny Kaye Horn, 80, of Logan, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2026. Born on September 4, 1945, he was a lifelong resident of Hocking County and a man whose life was defined by resilience, loyalty, and a steadfast devotion to his family.

Danny grew up in a hardworking household and carried those values with him throughout his life. He believed in showing up for the people he loved, doing what was right even when it was difficult, and living with integrity. These principles guided him from his early years in Logan through his service to his country.

A proud veteran of the United States military, Danny served with honor and carried the memory of his fellow servicemen with him every day. His military service shaped his character-quiet strength, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility. He was also a dedicated Freemason, committed to the ideals of brotherhood, service, and moral discipline.

Danny married his wife, Evelyn Horn, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership, perseverance, and unwavering commitment. Together they built a family rooted in love, tradition, and faith.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his children, Danny Horn, Jeff Horn, and Christina Lutz; as well as grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will forever hold his memory close. Danny was known for his steady presence, his love for animals, and the quiet wisdom he offered to those around him.

He will be remembered as a man of honor, grit, and generosity-someone who lived his life with purpose and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

The family takes comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the love he gave so freely.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Masonic services will be held prior to the funeral service at 12:45 PM.

Military services will be held at the graveside following the funeral service with the Hocking County Honor Guard and representatives of the US Army.

Calling hours will be observed from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Friday, April 3, 2026, prior to the service at the funeral home.
