Danny Wayne Jackson, 77, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Memorial Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Doug Shelley, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson was born on April 24, 1947 in Tyler to Lemuel and Winifred Jackson. He graduated from John Tyler High School in 1965 and from Springfield Baptist College in 1969 with a Bachelor Degree in music. Danny married Cindy Riddle on August 2, 1975 in Irving. Early in his career, he was the music minister at Beltline Baptist Church in Irving, Bible Baptist Church in Grand Prairie and Central Baptist Church in Irving. He was later pastor at First Baptist Church in Antlers, Oklahoma, Mount Olive Baptist Church in Irving and Bethel Baptist Church in San Angelo. Danny a sweet, genuine Teddy Bear who loved his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Thrasher; and two brothers, Michael Ray Jackson and Gary Jackson.
Danny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cindy; four daughters, Ami Green of New Orleans, Annette Wills and husband Bobby of Ft. Worth, Michelle Figueroa and husband James of Arlington, and Melissa Dooly and husband Travis of Nixa, Missouri; three grandchildren, Amber Jackson of Arlington, Bethany Wills of Tennessee, and Landry Wills of Ft Worth; and a great grandson, Kaiden Jackson of Arlington.
