Albert Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maurice L. Knee, Ltd. Funeral Home - Plum on Feb. 6, 2026.
Albert Edward Jackson Jr., beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully February 5th, 2026. He was born on May 31, 1941, in Glassport, Pennsylvania, and lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, and quiet strength.

Albert was a man of remarkable persistence and dedication. His work ethic was unwavering, grounded in discipline, responsibility, and a deep sense of purpose. He believed in showing up, doing the job right, and giving his best effort every day-values he carried throughout his life and instilled in those around him. Albert took pride in honest work and quiet perseverance, never seeking recognition, yet earning deep respect from all who knew him.

He was the son of the late Albert Edward Jackson Sr. and Anna Jackson Gibson. Albert shared close bonds with his family throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Jackson, survived by Louise, Lois Jean Wunderley, Mary Ann Bowman, and Linda Trunzo.

At the center of Albert's life was his great love, his wife, Carol Jackson "Love". Their marriage was a true love story. Albert often signed his words to Carol with the simple but profound phrase, "My Love Always," a reflection of the way he lived and loved every day of his life with her.

Albert and Carol shared a deep love of traveling and the many memories they made together, including their marriage at a Pittsburgh Pirates game on September 17, 1999. No matter where life took him, Albert's heart always belonged to Pittsburgh.

Albert is survived by his sons, Albert Edward Jackson III and Christopher John Jackson and his cherished stepchildren: Angela Kay (Glenn); Joe Ceccato (Brianna); and Cara Moore (Ryan).

Together, Albert and Carol were beloved and extraordinary grandparents to Zachary, Savannah, Bo, and Bria, taking immense pride in each of them and cherishing every moment they shared. Their home was filled with warmth, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Albert placed great value on education and lifelong learning. He earned his Bachelor's degree from California University and Master's degrees through the California State University system.

Following his education, Albert dedicated his professional life to elementary education, serving with distinction as a teacher in Pittsburgh Public Schools. After retiring from teaching and guided by his strong work ethic and devotion to charitable service, Albert went on to work at Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, where he served senior citizens and was deeply valued and loved by his coworkers.

Albert leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength. His life was a testament to faithfulness-to his wife, his family, his students, and his values. Though he is no longer physically present, the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in all who knew him.

"My Love Always."
