Danny Powell Obituary
He was born on January 5, 1953, to the late Dewey Powell and Alma Heaton Powell Williams.
Danny was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and felt most at peace spending time outside. He was a devoted sports fan, proudly cheering for the Carolina Tar Heels and a die-hard New York Giants fan. He was also a passionate Dale Earnhardt fan. Above all else, he loved his grandchildren dearly and treasured every moment spent with them.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Jeff Powell; and his sisters, Rebecca Metz and Bonnie Leviner.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Angelina Powell Parker of Hamlet, Danielle Register (Anthony) of Rockingham, and Karen White (Kevin), also of Rockingham; and grandchildren, Laney Parker, Micheal Parker, Anthony Register, and Chloe White.
A visitation will be held at Place of Grace Church in Rockingham, Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3:00-4:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 pm, with Pastor Gary Richardson officiating.
