Obituary published on Legacy.com by Slay Memorial Funeral Center - Aubrey on Oct. 22, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we remember Danny Ray Redfearn, 65, of
Aubrey, TX, who passed away Monday, October 20, 2025.
Danny was born March 26, 1960, in Denton, TX to Billy Ray Redfearn and Mary Francis Arrington. He married Sharana Shield July 3, 1982, until her passing January 3, 1999. Danny married Debbie Lee Fipps in Whitesboro, TX in 2019.
In June of 1983, Danny welcomed his first son, Danny Ray II into the world, followed by his second son, Kyle, in October of 1984. The joy of fatherhood was evident in every moment he spent with his boys.
In 1986, the family moved to Aubrey, where Danny continued to nurture his sons. He taught them the art of roping calves: sharing not just skills, but life lessons about hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family.
He dedicated his life to the art of cattle auctioneering, his voice resonating through the auction halls. A true cowboy at heart, Danny's greatest accomplishment besides his two children was his remarkable talent in training "Prime Time", a famous calf horse.
His passion for sport extended beyond the arena, as he proudly coached both Danny and Kyle in baseball, instilling in them the values of teamwork and dedication. A true patriarch and proud grandfather, he went on to carry the values he'd laid out for sons, onto his grandchildren- every moment he could.
Danny found peace in the quiet moments spent by the water, fishing. He loved nothing more than sharing these experiences with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
At the time of his passing, Danny was still baling hay, a true exemplification to his unwavering work ethic and connection to the land he loved.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie; his father, Billy Ray Redfearn of Collinsville, TX; sons, Danny Ray Redfearn II and wife Britni of Collinsville, TX, Kyle Redfearn and wife Jessie of Whitesboro, TX; sister, Sharon Nelson and husband Kery of Whitesboro, TX; stepchildren; Justin Reeves and Jakki Lock; niece, Morgan Hall and husband John of Whitesboro, TX; and grandchildren, Kade, Jett, Kasen, Jess, Quiney, Walker, and Wyatt.
