Danny Joe Richard, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on August 30, 2025 in his home in Lawton, OK. He was born on November 6, 1949, in Waxahachie, TX to Lee Richard and Vivian Bowren. He is proceeded in death by his firstborn daughter, Kristen Gilbert.

Danny was a great man of God and dearly loved by all who ever knew him. He was gifted with ability to play guitar and had the most beautiful deep singing voice that he used to evangelize for many years traveling, preaching, and singing to share the gospel with others. No matter what challenges he faced in life, he truly loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart, and his legacy of love and faith will continue throughout his generations. He loved spending time with and helping his family and they love him more than words can say. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cowboys, and listening to good gospel and country music. Ask his children and grandchildren and they will tell you he was one of the greatest men to have ever walked this earth. We grieve but celebrate the fact that he is home with Jesus, for that is what he lived for. By the grace and mercy of God Danny fought the good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith. We know he is cheering us on, and we look forward to being altogether again one day soon.
