He was born on December 15, 1947 in Cario, Illinois to Lewis and Maxine Elizabeth Rockett.
He was preceded in death by his parent's mother, Maxine Elizabeth Laster, and father, Lewis Rockett Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Linda Marie Rockett, son, Timothy Rockett, and grandchildren Cavan and his wife Morgan of League city and Rylen Rockett of Galveston, brother Michael Lewis Rockett of Charleston, Missouri.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 am for a Celebration of life Ceremony at Clearlake united Methodist church; 16335 El Camino Real Dr., Houston, TX 77062
His ashes will be buried at Ioof cemetery in Charleston, MO.

Dan was such a likable man! I met him and Linda in League City when I married one of Dan´s fellow State Farm agents in 2011. Although we never socialized on an ongoing basis, I really enjoyed our "ever so often" visits.
Heaven received a great man when Dan left us.

Dan interviewed me as a Senior at the University of Houston at Clear Lake. He sold me on wanting to work for State Farm. He made me a job offer in December, 1980 while he was still in Personnel, as they called it back then. Several years later, when Dan became a State Farm Agent in League City I had the pleasure to be assigned as his claim representative. Always enjoyed working with Dan. He loved to laugh. He was a man I admired. Condolences to his family and friends as he will be missed.
