A Celebration of Life for Danny Strom, age 76, of Lynch, NE will be at 11 am on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Lynch Community Hall in Lynch with Jeff Hart officiating. A private burial will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, south of Lynch. Memorial Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Friday before the service at the Lynch Community Hall. Dan passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones, at Niobrara Valley Hospital in Lynch. Memorials may be directed to his family for future designation. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in Spencer.

Danny Michael Strom was born on December 2, 1948, to Lyle and Judith (Johnson) Strom in Bloomfield. He grew up on the family farm east of Bloomfield, Nebraska, where he attended a rural grade school and later graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1967. While in high school, he enjoyed running track.

While working for the telephone company in Walthill, Nebraska, Dan met the love of his life, Linda King. The two were united in marriage on December 21, 1972, in Elk Point, South Dakota. After their marriage, they made their home on the family farm near Bloomfield and were blessed with three sons: Chad, Brock, and Waylon.

In 1980, Dan and Linda took on a new adventure when they purchased a bar in Lynch, Nebraska. The D & L Corral became a community favorite and was owned and operated by the couple for 16 years. Lynch soon became home, where they raised their boys and built lifelong friendships.

During this time, Dan and his son Brock also established Strom Construction, a business they ran together for many years. Dan worked alongside Brock at Strom Construction for decades before retiring. Even after retirement, he could often be found lending a hand or offering advice until his health no longer allowed it.

Dan was a hardworking, kindhearted man who rarely sat still. Whether fixing, building, or lending a hand, he was always working on something. He took great pride in his craftsmanship and loved gifting his grandkids with handmade creations-each one made with love and his signature touch.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Dan was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Lynch and could always be found helping others in his community. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and playing slow-pitch softball, and his family will forever remember his tall tales, contagious laughter, and even his surprisingly good baking.

Dan is survived by his sons, Chad (Audra) Strom of Verdel, Brock (Alisha) Strom of Lynch, and Waylon (Michela) Strom of Battle Creek; his sisters, Darla Jacobs of Beresford, SD, and Janice Wells of Blue Hill; his brothers, Merle (Michelle) Strom of Elk Point, SD, and Wendell (Delores) Strom of Crofton; sisters-in-law, Barb Strom and Julie Chancey; brother-in-law Rex (Tami) King of Bristow; ten grandchildren, Wyatt Strom, Jacie Strom, Weston Strom, Mykah (Curtis) Moeller, Mariah Strom, Brook Strom, Ruby Strom, Parker Strom, Piper Strom, Paleigh Strom; three great-grandchildren, Bodee Moeller, Linnie Moeller, and Josie Moeller; and lifelong best friend, Scott (Carol) Evans of Pender.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Judith Strom; his wife, Linda Strom in 2021; brothers, Curt, Lonnie, Allen, and Norman Strom; special aunt, Gladys Johnson; nephew, Allen "Buddy" Jacob; niece, Jennifer Varner; and great-niece, Hali Strom.

"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: you should mind your own business and work with your hands... so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders". - 1 Thessalonians 4:11–12
