He enjoyed old country music, strumming guitars, his old riding mower he named "Big Dog" and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Dano was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick "Freddie" Thompson and Dorlene Graham Thompson and a brother, Jewel Thompson.
He is survived by a daughter, Maranda Thompson of Owensboro; six sisters, Mary Ann Gray, Barbara Allen, Margaret Embry all of Campbellsville, Josephine Martinez of Hodgenville, Tammy (Robert) Seals of Mannsville and Nina Jean (Darrell) Sanders of Mammoth Cave; a grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 2, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
