Nicky Durham Obituary
He graduated from the University of Kentucky, was a retired civil servant at Fort Knox, a member of the KY Cattlemen's Association, a fan of University of Kentucky sports, enjoyed supporting the LaRue County Hawks, enjoyed spending time on the farm, following his grandchildren's activities and swapping stories about his time in the Air Force.
Nicky was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Durham; his parents, Edward and Opal McAfee Durham; and his son-in-law, Chris Shewmaker.
Survivors include his daughter, Deana Shewmaker of Lebanon; his son, Patrick (Jennifer) Durham of Hodgenville; a sister, Bo (Jack) Decker of Hodgenville; five grandchildren, Zachary Shewmaker, Marc Shewmaker, Payton Shewmaker, Thomas (Macy) Hoppes and Lucas Durham; a great-granddaughter on the way; and a sister-in-law, Diane (Eddie) Gardner.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Brother Greg Alexander officiating. Burial follows in South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to LaRue County 4-H, P.O. Box 210, Hodgenville KY 42748.

I worked with Nicky for several years at Fort Knox and we had a wonderful working relationship. I will certainly miss Nicky and am so sorry to hear about his passing!! Nicky you will be missed!!!
