Danny Laverne Wisecup, 74, of Eldon, MO passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home in Eldon, MO.
Danny was born on May 8, 1951, in Kansas City, MO the son of Laverne and Betty (Warkins) Wisecup who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Debora (Dellario) Wisecup on December 10, 1994, in Blue Springs, MO. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps for 8 years, an experience that shaped his strong work ethic and sense of duty. After his military service, he worked in construction, where he helped build several homes in the Nashville, TN area. In 2015, Danny and Debora moved to Eldon, MO to be closer to family, where he was currently working as a security guard at St Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, MO.
Danny was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing and hunting and found peace in the outdoors. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and willingness to help others. He was a man who worked hard, served honorably, lived life with purpose, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Survivors include: his wife, Debora "Debbie" Wisecup of the home; two daughters, Andrea Green (Aaron) of Spring Hill, TN and Jacqueline Wisecup of Kansas City, MO; three step-children, Philip Vigliaturo (Julie) of Blue Springs, MO, Gina Vigliaturo of Independence, MO and Nicholas Vigliaturo of Independence, MO; three brothers, Terry Wisecup (Deann) of Eldon, MO, Cary Wisecup of Eldon, MO and Ron Wisecup (Charlene) of Smithton, MO; one sister, Joyce Saltsgaver (Eddie) of Smithton, MO; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two nephews, Dustin Wisecup and Jeremy Wisecup. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Allen.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Jubilee Church – The Lake, 342 State Hwy 42, Kaiser, MO, followed by full military honors.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 902 E North St, Eldon, MO 65026 (573) 392-3351. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
