He was born November 1, 1944 in Harts, WV, the son of the late Thomas & Dicie Wiley.
Dansel enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and walking. He was a hard worker and loved his family and helping others.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings; Della Greene, Vergie Cox, Marie Woody, Delania Wiley, Pearl Wiley, Florence Wiley, Laney Wiley, Rosamae Wiley, George Wiley, and Dalmas Wiley.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Geraldine Wiley; daughters, Sherri (Tom) Glycadgis and Lori (Jim) Hardin; sons, Robert (Gina) Wiley, Dansel Jr "Bud" (Shawna) Wiley and Justin (Sandra) Wiley; step-daughters, Nikki (Mike) Spencer and Michelle Ellis; grandchildren, Brian (Carlee) Cull, Brittany Wiley, Danyell (Caleb) Long, Garret Glycadgis, Jakobe Wiley, Chelsie Wiley, Bethany Hardin, Mark (Amber) Nelson. Nick (Kyra) Nelson, Ethan Nelson, Morgan Nelson, Jason Ellis, Dean Hughes, Aiden Hughes, Jordan Nelson, Olivia Nelson, Ariadne Wiley and Daelynn Wiley; great grandchildren, Tucker Cull, Landyn Cull, Everlee Cull, Mackenzie Bivens, Aubree Hardin, Reagan Hardin, Dansel Nelson, Remington Nelson, Blakelee Nelson and Kennedy Nelson, Siblings;Ileen Ellis, Eva Roberts, Carol Dingess, and Dallas Wiley; he is also survived by Dr. Dennis Morello who helped him get to Jesus a host of nieces and nephews that held a special place in his heart; and his beloved sister-in-law, Mary Rakes.
Services will be held at 12:00pm, Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rocky Chafin and Dennis Morrello officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rob, Bud, Justin, Garret, Tom, and Brian.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
