Dante Anthony
Age 96, of Plum formerly of East Liberty, on Monday, September 29, 2025. Dedicated and loving husband of Lillian (Kovak) Cappuccio; father of Diane (Mark F.) DeBease of Rye, NY; Grandfather of Garrett DeBease of Rye, NY and Grant (Jessica (Granato)) DeBease of Brooklyn, NY; preceded in death by brothers, Salverio "Sam" (Eleanor) Cappuccio, Conffredo "Fred" (Mary Lou) Cappuccio, and Pietro "Peter" Noreen Cappuccio; also survived by nieces and nephews. He was a proud US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart for his sacrifice and courage shown in the face of hostile action. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Lillian and playing golf with his grandsons and his 'Tuesday Golf Group'. He had a successful career in sales and many of his clients became longtime friends. With a full life lived, Dante leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion and he will be greatly missed.Friends received, Thursday, 2:00-6:00 pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel,7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday 10:00am, in St. John the Baptist Church of Holy Family Parish. Entombment in Good Shepherd Cemetery. To honor Dante's service and his memory, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 875 Greentree Rd Building 7, suite 700, Pgh, PA 15220.
