Daphne Dawn Jones

Daphne Dawn Black Jones, 53, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. A native of Asheville, Daphne was born to Carrie Mae Worley Black and the late Gary Clifford Black.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Timothy Brian Jones.

Daphne is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Jones and Taylor Jones, whom she loved very much and who were the center of her world. Her devotion to her family was evident in all she did, and she will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the deep love she shared with those closest to her.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastors Chad Edwards, Shane Meadows, and Michael Banks officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
