Darcell Maurice Daniels was born on July 17, 1966, in Los Angeles, California, to Darella Daniels and Mary Alice Morgan-Wilson. He was the second oldest of four children, known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and the way he could bring light to any room.
Darcell’s life journey was not an easy one, but it was uniquely his. Though he spent time away from his family, his love for them never faded. He carried them in his heart through every season of his life. No matter where he was, Darcell always found a way to stay connected through laughter, memories, and the unbreakable bond of family.
He faced challenges that taught him strength, humility, and understanding. And through it all, he never lost his ability to make people laugh. His laughter, honesty, and presence left lasting impressions on everyone who knew him.
Darcell was preceded in death by his father, Darella Daniels, who passed when Darcell was still a teenager. His older brother, Darrell Daniels, stepped in as a mentor and protector until his passing on July 17, 2019. His beloved mother, Mary Alice Morgan-Wilson, was the heart of his world, and their bond remained strong until her passing on May 25, 2023.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two loving sisters, Ericka White of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Shante White of San Antonio, Texas; his devoted wife, Madlyn Daniels; and four stepchildren who brought him great pride and joy.
He also leaves behind a large and loving family — aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews — who will forever remember his laughter and love. In addition, Darcell is survived by three godbrothers and one godsister, each holding a special place in his heart.
Darcell’s story reminds us that life is full of both challenges and grace — and that love, forgiveness, and family remain the most powerful forces of all. Though his journey had its trials, his heart never stopped giving, and his memory will forever live on in those who loved him most.
His laughter, strength, and spirit will never be forgotten.
