Darian MaKayla Mathis

Jacksonville- Darian Mykayla Mathis (25) passed January 2nd, 2024. Being the youngest girl in her family, she was born May 16th, 1998 to her parents Kevin and Donna Meanor. In her younger years she loved exploring the outdoors and playing soccer. As she grew up she became more of a girly-girl known for her infectious smile. She loved her pets, Apolo James the dog, and the infamous Goldfish that would never die. Her favorite animal was a giraffe, where she planned on taking a trip to one day to feed them by hand. Darian was also known as a hard worker and vivacious dreamer. Always trying to make someone laugh, she was the life of the party.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter Aurora, who she loved with her entire heart; Father, Kevin Meanor; Mother, Donna Meanor; Sister, Kara Meanor and spouse, Cory Thomas; Sisters, Mary Meanor and spouse, Deci Wilson; Leeam Meanor and spouse, Juliet Campbell; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The word "I can't" didn't exist to her. She never finished high school, but she was such a smart young woman and true definition of "making something out of nothing". She had a passion for art and loved to draw and color. Darian had no limits in life. Anything she set her mind to, she accomplished. She was the most loving, selfless, caring and best little sister you could ask for. She loved her daughter, sister, Mary, nephew, Mason, and niece Avanni more than anything in this world. She was very close to her sister, there for every birth and pregnancy, making her the best aunt a child could ask for. She always made sure Mason and Avanni had everything they desired. For the short time she got to be a mother, she was an exceptional, loving, and caring mother to her daughter, Aurora Jewell. Darian always made sure Aurora had everything she ever wanted and needed when she was with her.
Darian's soul lit the biggest flame. To know her was to know love. She was super empathetic and nurturing to those she loved and cared for. Darian could make any house a home. Darian was love and light in a dark world. Today we lay to rest the best little sister in the entire world, best mother, daughter, aunt, and friend.
