Wilda June Thompson Greer

SNEADS FERRY - Wilda June Thompson Greer passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Fulcher Family Cemetery, with Rev. Rob Licht officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

She was a devoted homemaker who cherished her family. Wilda had a deep love for all things crafting, especially quilting, and she spent many joyful hours creating with her hands. She also loved cooking for her family, always finding fulfillment in preparing meals that brought everyone together. An avid gardener, she delighted in growing flowers of all kinds.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church (formerly Carroll Chapel United Methodist Church) and found great comfort and strength in her relationship with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Waldo Thompson and Josie Hill Fulcher Thompson; and her brother, Glover Thompson.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Eddie Gore (Stacey) of Sneads Ferry, Teddie Gore (Ala) of Winterville, and Amanda Hill (Dale) of Clayton; her grandchildren: Brianna Gore of Raleigh, Daniel Gore (Kendra) of Zebulon, Emma Tyler (Nick) of Wilmington, Chloe Mitchell (Braiz) of Sneads Ferry, Hayley Gore of Wilmington, Joshua Gore of Winterville, Hannah Williamson (Adam) of Archer Lodge, and Micah Hill of Clayton, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Sneads Ferry.
