Darin M. Brockman

WELCOME - Darin M. Brockman, age 56, of rural Welcome, MN, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Darin at 6:30 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center - Trimont Chapel, (111 Apple Street East, Trimont, MN 56176). Visitation will take place prior to the service on Saturday from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM. A recording of the service will be available at Darin’s obituary page at www.sinnfuneralhome.com.

The Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center of Trimont and Welcome is assisting Darin’s family with arrangements.

Darin Brockman was born on November 14, 1968, to Lorenz and Maverene (Olson) Brockman in Mountain Lake, MN. He graduated from Welcome High School with the class of 1987. Darin was united in marriage to Wendy Krueger on October 19, 1991, at the United Methodist Church in Fairmont and the couple was later blessed with two children, Dylan and Elise.

Darin was a loving husband, father, brother, and son. He had a natural talent for working with his hands, whether it was plumbing, electrical work, or fixing cars—there was little he couldn’t do. He faced every challenge with confidence, always believing he could accomplish anything he set his mind to. His warmth, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed. His passion for woodworking and fishing brought him peace, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with family. Darin worked many years as a CNC programmer at Weigh-Tronix in Fairmont. 

Darin will forever be remembered by his wife, Wendy Brockman; children, Dylan Brockman and Elise (Lukas) Poetter; mother, Maverene Brockman; brothers, Brian (Nancy) Brockman and Todd (Kristine) Brockman; mother-in-law, JoAnn Krueger; sister-in-law, Stephanie (Erik) Maday; brother-in-law, David Olsen; his best friend, Charlie the dog; nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Darin was preceded in death by his father, Lorenz Brockman; father-in-law, Keith Krueger; and grandparents, Winfred and Elisabeth (Andersen) Brockman and Lloyd and Thelma (Cowing) Olson.
