Dario Jimenez

Dario Jimenez, 79, of Riviera, Texas, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Rivera, Texas.

He was born on January 17, 1947, in Kingsville, Texas, to Antonio and Tomasita Jimenez.

Dario worked many years as a rancher and cowboy before his retirement. He was a hardworking man who valued his family and the life he built in South Texas. Dario was also a member of Miracle Worship Center in Kingsville, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Tomasita Jimenez; four sisters, Maria Garcia, Julia Muñoz, Tomasita Garcia, and Adela Soto; and two brothers, Juan Jimenez and Antonio Jimenez, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Lydia Jimenez of Rivera, Texas; three daughters, Hilda J. (Daniel) Martinez of Big Spring, Texas, Velma Jimenez of Riviera, and Patricia J. (Amador) Caballero of Calallen, Texas; and one son, David (Jessica) Jimenez of Tivoli, Texas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Tomas Lee, Miranda, Brianna, Mark, Joseph, Andrea, Amador Jr. "AJ", Adrian, Aaron, Justin David, James Matthew; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Raphael Jimenez and wife Eloisa, and Norberto Jimenez and wife Esmeralda, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Luis Bernal officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
