Minerva Cueva Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home on Mar. 10, 2026.
Minerva A. Cueva, age 65, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on February 22, 1961, in Robstown, Texas, to Federico and Trinidad Cueva.

Minerva dedicated many years of service as a dietician at Christus Spohn Hospital before retiring. She was known for her caring spirit and her dedication to helping others through her work.

She loved spending time with her family, playing Lotería, and joking around. Minerva enjoyed listening to music and dancing-even if it was in the car. She was always making sure her family had something to eat, even when they said they were already full. She had a loving heart and was always willing to share whatever she had. Known for her honesty, she communicated with everyone in a very direct way.

She never missed watching her Cowboys and loved picking her numbers while dreaming about her next trip to Coushatta with Vilma. More than anything, she loved her family and friends-"chingos."

She is preceded in death by her parents, Federico and Trinidad Cueva; six brothers, Federico Jr., Juan, Daniel, Roberto Arturo, and Joseph Cueva; and two sisters, Antonia Puente and Maria Villarreal.

Minerva is survived by her two daughters, Estefana (Marde) Ortiz-Trimble of Allen, Texas, and Patricia Ortiz of Kingsville, Texas; and her three beloved grandchildren, Jonah (Justine), Haloti, and Samari. She also leaves behind six sisters, Teresa Villarreal, Estella Hall, Bertha Martinez, Irma Puentes, Adelmira Lozano, and Terri Cueva; two brothers, Rene Cueva and Felix Cueva; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home
