Daris (Dink) Edward Dalton, 62 of Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 12, 2025 with family by his side.
He was the son of the late Daris Dalton, and surviving mother Shirley Murray Dalton.
Dink was a jack of all trades. He was a truck driver, driving 18 wheelers cross-country for several years. He was a hard worker, and enjoyed fishing and was committed to always providing for his family.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Dalton; his daughter Deviney Dalton Price and her husband Trent Price; his grandchildren Trennah Price and Swan Price, and Trennahs lifelong friend Raven Gifford who he loved like his own grandchild.
He is also survived by his siblings, Robin McDonald, Donnie Dalton and wife Kim Dalton, Sue Murray and husband Ralph Murray, Tammy Hart and husband Mark Hart, and Romaine Trentini and husband Joe Trentini, and a brother-in-law Frank Debardi and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Daris Dalton, his step daughter Tiffany Cramer, his sister, Katrina Debardi, a niece Chastity McDonald Hershman, and a brother -in-law Eugene McDonald.
Deviney was his pride and joy, and he did everything he could to always make sure she knew he was there for her no matter what. She has been there for him, by his side caring for him day in and day out throughout his battle.
He absolutely loved taking Trennah for rides in his 18 wheeler and doing everything he could for her. He was always getting four wheelers and mini bikes for her and Raven to enjoy.
He really enjoyed sitting outside in the yard with Swan and watching the sky and stars with her and taking her for walks and teaching her what all the names of the trees were. He passed away on Swans seventh birthday. He was an amazing father and best pappy, and loved them all so much.
There will be no viewing or funeral as we are doing what Dink wanted. He will be cremated and spread in the place he spent his childhood.
We would also like to give special thanks to the Amedisys Hospice team that took extra loving care of him, and made him so comfortable.
We would also like to thank the Gifford family for donating to help us grant his final wish. You all are in our thoughts and prayers always. And a special thanks to Smith Funeral Home for their help with everything as well.
