Darla Davis Obituary
Darla spent many years as a devoted mother to her two daughters. Once her children were grown, she began to work at Tender Years Daycare, where she continued working as an infant teacher until retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, baking, crafting, and playing with her animals. More than anything, Darla loved being a mother and grandmother. Darla lived a happy, love-filled life.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracey Rasmussen and Tammy Haugen; three grandchildren, Nick Welch, Brandon Rasmussen, and Kelsey Cole; nephews, Mark Schlenker and Todd (Sue) Schlenker; great niece, Cailey Dolash; and great nephew, Cole Schlenker.
Darla was preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Haugen; sister, Nina Moore; niece, Jodi Schlenker; parents; and all her dogs and cats.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Autumn Ridge Clubhouse (2050 Four Seasons Drive, Ankeny, Iowa, 50021).
