Darla Jean Day, 83, of Massillon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 28, 2025 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
She was born on October 1, 1941 to the late Darrell and Ruth (Smylie) Munson in Canton, OH.
She was a 1959 graduate of Lehman High School. Darla was dedicated to her family. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry, drawing and painting, her poodle, Smitty, card club, shopping, jewelry and having dinner with family and friends.
Darla is survived by her loving children, Kimberly Ann Gothot and Christine Marie (Brian) Blanc; grandchildren, Jenna and Derek Blanc; and sister, Janice Lundenberger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Duane Munson and Thurman Munson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, 11:00 am at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio, with Kevin O'Brien, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
