In addition to being a homemaker Darla, worked outside of the home as the Librarian for Eastwood Schools (Jr. High) until she retired. A woman of great faith she was a very active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville. Among her many ministries was assisting a family in the planning and preparation of the funeral luncheons. Darla also enjoyed cooking, baking, (her family remembers her wonderful pies). She also enjoyed babysitting, flowers such as roses, lilies, poinsettias, and being a loving wife to her husband Thomas and loving mother to her children. However, her greatest joy was not only spending time with her family but rooting on and attending her many grandchildren's sporting events.
In addition to her husband Thomas, left to cherish her memory are her children: Kevin (Christine) Rahe of Perrysburg, Kelly (Steve) Ulinski of Elmore, Kraig (Ann) Rahe of Medina, Kristin (Greg) Johnson of Findlay, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Brothers: Jerry (Barb) Krueger, and Roger Krueger. She was preceded in death by her birth parents.
Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 220 Cedar Street, Pemberville. There will be additional visitation from 10 a.m., until the time of service. Darla will be laid to rest in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials take the form of contributions to: Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Otterbein SeniorLife. Those wishing to express a word of encouragement, share a memory or photo may do so at www.marshfuneralhomes.com
