Darla D. Papproth (née Brown), 95, of Lebanon, IL passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at Addington Place of Shiloh, Illinois.

Darla was born in Overland, MO, the daughter of the late Beeler and Olive Brown. She spent most of her life in Lebanon, IL with her husband of 66 years, the late Bill Papproth. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Darla was known for her warmth, creativity, and strength. She enjoyed sewing and needlecrafts, was a talented artist, and took pride in being a consummate homemaker.

Darla is survived by her five children, Paul (Linda) Claussen of O'Fallon, IL, Patti (Billy Jack) Bennett of Lebanon, IL, Terri (the late Tom Boc) Papproth of Alpharetta, GA, Denise (Randall) Rodgers of Caseyville, IL, and Diane (Mark) Zimmerman of O'Fallon, IL.

She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Bruce (Shauna), Steve (Nikki), Amy (Dan), Randy (Jaycie), Brad (Brianne), Lauren (Collin), Alissa (Sal), Lauren, Allyson (Tyler); fourteen great-grandchildren, Ariel (Matt), Riley, Jackson, Claire, Liv, Milli, Caylee, Lilly, Benjamin, Hadley, Delilah, Julian, Jocelyn, and Skye; one great-great-grandchild, Landrie Mae; and her sister, Nita Cervas, of Florissant, MO.

Darla was predeceased by her husband, Bill Papproth; grandson, Lucas Bennett; great-grandson, Zain Bennett; parents, Beeler and Olive Brown; and siblings, Norvell Brown, Doris Carter, Florence Rideout, and Mary Carter.

Darla will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
