Belleville, Illinois - Mrs. Judith Mary Ellen "Judy" Quirk (née Kaiser), age 84, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, in Belleville, Illinois. Born on March 4, 1941, in Belleville, she remained deeply rooted in the community that shaped her life.

Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband Mike; her daughter Liz Lucas and son-in-law Irving Lucas; and her cherished grandsons Kaiser and Michael Lucas. She also leaves behind her brother Thomas Kaiser. Judy was preceded in death by her son Jim Quirk; her parents Rudolph and Gertrude Kaiser; and her siblings Richard Kaiser, Grace Joseph, Virginia Sellers, Geraldine Ross, and Roger Kaiser.

A woman of great energy and enthusiasm for life's adventures, Judy loved to travel the world with her family. Among all the places she visited, Siesta Key and the Tetons held a special place in her heart. Whether exploring new destinations or enjoying the simple pleasures of camping trips with loved ones, she embraced each journey with joy.

Closer to home, Judy found happiness in tending to her yard. Her love for the outdoors was matched only by the pride she took in cheering on her grandsons at their basketball and baseball games and attending every Spring and Christmas concert.

Judy was also committed to serving others through community involvement. She was a longtime member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, where she dedicated countless hours to the Memorial Book Fair in Belleville. Her faith was an important part of her life as well; she was an active member of Concordia United Church of Christ.

Judy's warmth, dedication to family, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and inspiration to those whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held on February 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Concordia United Church of Christ 7600 State Route 163. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
